Whenomatic Terms of Use
1. Who provides the app
Whenomatic is provided by FlorencoTech (Ihor Vasylenko, an individual developer). Contact: whenomatic@gmail.com. By installing and using the app you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. What the app does
Whenomatic lets you build rules that your phone runs: a trigger, then steps. The rules are yours — the app carries out what you told it to do, when you told it to. Google Play’s terms also apply to your download of the app.
3. You are responsible for your rules
A rule can send messages and e-mail, make web requests, publish to an MQTT broker, change phone settings, move files in the folder you picked and act while you are not looking. You decide what a rule does and where it sends things, so you are responsible for the consequences, including:
- messages, calls and data your rules send, and the charges your operator or provider bills you for;
- data traffic, and the load your rules put on services you chose;
- compliance with the terms of every service you connect to, and with the law where you live — including the rules on recording, tracking and messaging other people;
- keeping other people’s data safe when a rule of yours handles it.
Before saving a rule that reaches outside the phone, the app shows you which paths it uses. Please read that list — it is there because a rule does exactly what it says, without asking again.
4. The assistant, and what you may not use it for
The assistant turns a sentence into a draft rule using Google’s Gemini models. Its answers can be wrong. Always read the draft before you turn the rule on: the app shows what the rule will do, and that description, not the assistant’s promise, is what will run.
The assistant must not be used to build or support:
- covert surveillance of another person, including tracking someone’s location, reading their messages or recording them without their knowledge;
- bulk or unsolicited messaging, spam, or automated abuse of any service;
- circumventing security, access controls, rate limits or payment of any service, or anything unlawful;
- medical, legal or financial advice: the assistant does not give it, and the Gemini API terms forbid relying on it for such purposes.
The assistant is also not a doctor, lawyer or accountant. If something matters, check it with someone qualified.
Free assistant requests are provided as a courtesy, in limited number, where the service is available, and we may change or end them at any time. Attempts to get around those limits — several installations for the same purpose, emulators, modified builds — may cost you access to the free requests.
5. Your own API key
If you use your own Gemini API key, your relationship with Google is your own: you accept the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service, you pay Google whatever your usage costs, and you are responsible for keeping the key safe. We never see your key. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland use only a key from a project with billing enabled.
6. Age
The app is for people aged 18 and over. This is what the Gemini API terms require of the assistant, and the rest of the app is built for adults handling their own phone.
7. The app is provided “as is”
Whenomatic comes without warranties of any kind. It is an automation tool running on a phone whose operating system may stop, kill or delay it at any time: do not rely on it for anything where a missed or late rule could cause harm — medical reminders, safety alarms, alerts that someone’s wellbeing depends on.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data, lost profit, or damage caused by a rule you built or by an answer the assistant gave. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
8. Third-party services
The app uses Google Play services, Google Play Integrity, the Gemini API, Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap tiles. They have their own terms, they can change or stop, and we do not control them. Weather data: Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
9. Changes and ending use
We may change the app and these terms; the date at the top says when this version was written, and a significant change is mentioned in the release notes on Google Play. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app; we may suspend access to server-side features (the free assistant) if they are used in the ways listed in section 4.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the developer’s country of residence, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
